Re: Interfaces

Much the same, here. It replaced an aging Firepod. I do find the Motu drivers can be a bit fussy on Windows, but the gear sounds great.
Having said that, I should add that the most trouble I had was getting an old 2408Mk3 to run on Win7/64, but with the latest drivers it's all good now.
I've used the 8pre both as interface for my Laptop(XP on DellE6400) and to feed Adat to a 1st generation Traveller on the same machine. No issues, though I do find the DSP prog a bit cluttzy.
It also gets used to send Adat to the 2408 on my Win7 Desktop.

I have the motu 8pre and love it. I've used both as a my interface for the computer and on occasion as a mic pre out on the adat to my mixing board to pick up 8 more channels. I haven't had any issues with it at all.
