What are the looper features that manufacturers are stupid to leave out? (SUPER DD20)

honestly as i watched the bill frisell solos dvd over the last 2 days, i wonder why bill doesn't just call up EH or digitech and tell them to make a super version of either the
eh16ddl (better interface, knobs instead of sliders!) or the pds8000 (make it 16 sec, put reverse on it, i think it would be good!)....you'd think they'd listen to him!!!
or maybe someone on this list can call these co's and pretend to be bill and get it done!!!!
again, i can dream....
