Yes, I worked with video Vegas back in 2002. It was a very good porgram. I used it for Foley, ADR, etc. Easy to learn, quick to use.

I'd recommend you look for a good deal on one of the Sony Vegas limited editions,
these can be very cheap.

I've tried a number of free or low cost video editors, and that was easily
my favourite.
