midi foot controller theory

I've been thinking of getting a midi foot controller for looping software.

I don't see many options besides the behringer fcb1010 which seems pretty cool and is about my price range.

Currently Ive been getting by with just one a sustain pedal  Using ableton's looper and cycler-looper

I've also modified a computer keyboard by taking off all the keys and putting a few back on. 

Haven't actually tried it yet but I think I can hit  about 5 buttons independently 

Any suggestions on midi foot controllers?
