If you like this kind of sounds (drone/ambient/microtuning), i found out recently about this one: http://www.skytopia.com/software/sonicphoto/index.htm The image synth base idea is well known (coagula, metasynth, audiopaint, ...) but IMHO this one gives more "musical" results ("musical as opposed to noise FX).
