Alternate headphones.............cheaper and less gear to take around. that's my advice. PS, if you have a ROSS Dress for LEss up your way, they always have ridiculously cheap deals on Sony and other brand headphones,
including wireless phones and noise cancelling phones at times. They are making headphone drivers so excellently and cheaply that I honestly
don't think you need to invest in super pro priced phones. I got a pair of AKG m80, over ears for a ridiculous $25 there. But you have to check it regularly to get the good deals. Rick Walker I love my Mackie mixers (1202 VLZ pro and 1642 VLZ pro), but their headphone outputs dont seem to really be up to driving my Sennheiser HD 380 pro headphones. The Sennheisers sound great with the Apogee Duet on my computer, but muddy and thin with the Mackie and checking the impedance it looks like they just want too much power. Im looking for something that I can reasonably use when I need to have my monitors switched off for the benefit of those around me. So, two choices: headphone amp or alternative headphones. Any recommendations? Thanks. Mark
