My bad, many synth displays use an inverter, some things have a transformer. Multipliers though, usually use pulsed DC. On simple boxes though, wrong polarity can take out the rectifier diodes if the DC supply has the output amps to do it. Bottom line, if the first things the wires go to are diodes, good to go. Transformers first, no good. Other components, do your homework. My personal solution, if it were my gear, would be, go to Goodwill/St Vinny's and look through the wall wart basket. I get a LOT of my PSUs that way. Watch the amp output though. More is good, less, not so good. -------------------------------------------- On Thu, 8/21/14, Charles Zwicky <cazwicky@earthlink.net> wrote: Subject: Re: power supply suggestions please To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com Date: Thursday, August 21, 2014, 10:07 AM Not always true, in several pedals that use AC adapters, there are voltage multipliers to allow +/-15Vdc to be created from a 9Vac input. You need the + DC to go in on the same conductor that moves forward through the rectifier diodes -------------------------------------------- On Thu, 8/21/14, Rusty Perez <rustys.lists@gmail.com> wrote: Subject: power supply suggestions please To: "Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com" <Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com> Date: Thursday, August 21, 2014, 9:32 AM Hi folks, I just got a Boomerang III and all of a sudden I have power supply problems. I'm using the following: TC Helicon Harmony G which requires 12vdc, BBE acoustimax pre/di which requires 12v a/c, boomerang III which seems to require 9v a/c miscellaneous boss style effects which require 9v dc. Mike at Boomerang said that the rang might run on 9v dc but the tips for my 9v multi power supply won't fit the rang. so, does anyone have suggestions for this complicated power setup? ]thanks! Rusty .
