Electronic ambient artists dreamSTATE (Scott M2+Jamie Todd) have devotedly performed at every Drone Day since it was created in 2014. Their album "DRoNE DAY" was recorded at that first show. JP King is an artist-designer-educator with a special interest in sound synthesis, system design, and visual communication. He currently teaches within the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at U of T, with a focus on discard culture, the environment, printmaking, and publishing. In 2016, the Canada Council for the Arts nominated King for a Governor General's Innovation Award based on his research about how waste shapes the world alongside his pioneering experiments with Risograph printing. Shimmer Crush produces starkly beautiful electronic music in an organic and shifting process currently defined by “enormous, edgy, deep, hypnotic sounds" (Melissa Devine https://melissadevine.ca/). Pulsing rhythms thread through dreamy soundscapes that merge in layers of aural textures following a path often unknown but always informed by the world around us. Shaped by this experience, then further explored through live performances, a rich sonic palette has emerged from which new and dynamic compositions have evolved. Scott Lepore is an electro-acoustic musician and composer in Toronto. He has been exploring the intersection between improvisational performance and technology for 40 years. He is an active member of various artistic communities including the Music Experience Movement and Toronto's Frequency Freaks monthly modular meetups. https://soundcloud.com/ahonoe . Not Your Average Worker Bees is David Sutherland and Intrepita (Paul Stillwell). Both are members of the CEE (Canadian Electronic Ensemble) with strong backgrounds in live electronic music improvisation.
