Operation Re-Information is a band that makes and uses its own sofware to tirgger looping and non-looping sounds that are stored in the RAM of their Macintosh computers. BackToBasics™ Software is the custom built application used to do so and is available from O.R.I. BackToBasics contains no sequencing element outside of the loops that users create themselves in their sound editting programs. Sounds and Loops are synchronized 'by ear', live utilizing the accuracy of the powerbooks internal clock for synchronization between computers. O.R.I. has developed the 'ORIMath System' of loop synchronization, a table of loop lengths (down to the Sample) that allow users to play disparate sound samples together to achieve Ultramundane ™ results.
