Archie Marsh is a live looping guitarist, currently playing in South London based, hip hop influenced trio Sound of Rum. He uses a Behringer FCB-1010 MIDI pedal to control live looping in Ableton Live 8. He also uses apple iMac keyboards as foot controllers to save pounds! Loops are essential to his role within the band, allowing him to double up the guitars and add bass lines through the Boss OC-3 Octaver. In this way, the band can function with just one guitarist, a drummer and a vocalist.
