In the 60's, when I heard Chet Atkins (with the Boston Pops) playing 'Snowbird' using a tape echoplex, I was sold on the use of delays live. When I heard the sound of Moog Synths in 68 I determined that was for me. Zappa opened my mind to where music could go, more freedom, more fun in music. Kraftwerk's 'Man Machine' introduced me to crisp synthetic rhythm machines. Stanley and Jaco took me to new worlds of Bass sounds. Larry Graham was an ealier groove/funk bassist that molded my musical mind. Eno's 'Music for Airports' introduced me to the beauty of minimalistic music. Hendrix demonstrated the broad potential for guitar noises. Miles blew his music into my soul with Kind of Blue.

The Echoplex Digital Pro floated me to looping bliss. The Roland VG8 Guitar System renewed my interest in playing electric (electronic?) guitar. When we added a GR09, and some musical partners with sync'd EDPs, and recorded that Digitally, multitracked, live improvised, this began BrotherSync.
