O maior interesse é criar camadas de guitarra usando o sotaque dos ritmos ancestrais amazônicos sem restrições com a tecnologia ou a com falta dela. Guitar with a brazillian accent. Pio Lobato is one of the major responsibles by Cravo Carbono musical style. Composer, guitarrist and music teacher, Lobato made of the original technics of the amazon guitar his source of research and inspiration. Pio Lobato was born in Belem and started playing progressive rock in the early 90's. Besides his work in Cravo Carbono, Lobato also works with electric experimentations using guitar loops and Echoplex effects box. His solo work - 'Recado para Lucio Maia' and 'Psicocumbia', both builded with lots of musical layers made with an electric guitar and an Echoplex - can be listened as bonus tracks in 'Peixe Vivo' CD. But the biggest influence in Pio Lobato's work is Mestre Vieira de Barcarena, the genius guitarrist that invented the musical genre called 'guitarrada'.
