I try to use looping in less overt ways than most...mostly as sonic beds for me to improvise over in small sections of otherwise non-loop based songs. This restraint, however, may be due to the rather limited capabilities of DOD the Dimension 12. I find that using MIDI footpedals to control bass parts affords me the ability to 'turn sharper corners' in songs without losing a full sound. The downshot of this method is that you have to be quick on your feet...literally. Ah well, isn't that what looping all about. ;)
