Half of my music is solo improvised bass played using numerous techniques thru numerous effects to construct soundscape-type ambient pieces most closely resembling Fripp (solo and w/ Eno) soundscape albums and Bill Laswell’s ambient collaborations. These tend to be extended pieces that are 10-15+ min long. The other half of my music uses samples from other recorded improvisations that don’t seem strong enough to stand on their own, used as themes around which drone/IDM/psychedelic/electronica pieces are constructed using other instruments and toys in addition to bass.
