Re: vst plugin - looper - Usine

about Usine:
I played with it for 6 months and have done some gigs and recording
sessions.
It was the time I was trying to find the best vst host in which I could
keep Mobius and do my routing through hw and sw effects via my audio card.
Usine was the second I tried, the first was Bidule and the last has been
Audiomulch.

at the end I decided to leave Usine because ( as I can remember) it was
lacking in the user interface.
For me it is important to have a visual fast understanding of the
routing happening in my signal flow at anytime and Usine was forcing me
to put many send/return/splitters/mixers in many different places of the
screenshot, so that I had to check many areas and screen corners to
check what was going on.
Plus, the signal flow was passing through many different submenus, so
setting it up was a little messy.
These infos are true for the use I did of it.
I think that, if it is used for what it was designed ( loading
pre-recorded samples in different tracks and play/mess with them) it is
a very interesting sw.
It was pretty stable and light on the cpu ( at the time I was using
it... 2 years ago ?).

The developer is very friendly, helpful and willing to improve his sw.

my best,
luca
