Great Post! Of course, now I'll try to pick it apart.

The computer processing power vs. human brain comparison misses the
mark I think, since human brains and computers work differently. You
can increase computing power by many orders of magnitude, but unless
the current computer architecture is fundamentally changed, it still
won't rival human's problem solving capabilities. We're a long way
from computers that are able to develop their own creative algorithms.
I think that's good news for us loopers : )

Lots of thought provoking material: India has more_honors_ students
than America has students. Is high IQ the fundamental determinate for
success? Could India have developed the iPod? How do cultural factors
influence innovation?

I don't know the answers to those questions, but my gut tells me China
and India need cultural transformation to take over world leadership.
