Re: Virtual repeater

Sorry I hit send before I had finished:

TIME STRETCH

Starts normal, I bring in a few tracks... then I slow it down to 1bpm... while its there i reverse 2 of the 4 tracks... I then pitch about on one track using "Per Boysens Itchy foot Piano".
Basically the FCB1010 footpedal is programed to pitch one track by known amounts to make a scale.. in this case a scale of my own invention that I like to call the Pentamixolydian 7th.
THEN I sped back up, we hear the reversed tracks.. I go faster than original tempo, and cut all but one track, the reversed solo... then I dick about on th speed knob, (but could pprobably map tempo knob to a pedal, can I ..? I dont know... Anyway, its more visual at a gig to manically twist a knob) creating new phrasing on the part... holding on some notes, (just by twisting down to 1 bpm again and fast back up again to get the tune working again, a bit of reverb masks the glitchyiness , altho I left verb off earlier so you can hear repeater slow glich mush in all its glory)

Thats about it..

Enjoy

Mark,
Cool! If you want to that would be fine, if not that is ok too. Unfortunately this looping stuff is still new for me, I don't know any other loopers locally, so Per's suggestion to try one will be difficult -- anybody from the Philadelphia area have a repeater I can borrow? I promise to give it back when I am done with it ;)

BTW, I listened to your gig recording and the transitions seemed so natural, I need to go back and listen again more closely to hear how you accomplished that.....very nice.

Thanks,
Eric
