I once used a toy dance mat for a Disney kids game (still have it). 
Unfortunately it was very unreliable so it was a nice try. But I can 
imagine that new technology in higher quality could do that better. I 
wonder though why other technologies for foot switches never made it on 
to the stage, there must be a reason...
