The main difference between the PDS and RDS 8000s, I've found, is not in 
the
physical features (knobs/settings etc) but in the decay of the 
repeated/looped
signal.  Seems that the decay on the RDS is a little longer than that of 
the
PDS when both are at 8 sec.delay. - Paul
