Along with the other fine loopers that have been mentioned (EDP, Repeater, Eventide Orville, etc.), you should look at a Kyma system http://www.symbolicsound.com/ ). Unlike the other devices, the Kyma system requires a computer to be connected to its hardware accellerator box. The box, whose latest version is called a Capybara-320, features 4 or 8 inputs and outputs (digital or analog); 4 to 28 DSPs; a MIDI interface; and a computer interface. The main distinguishing feature of Kyma is probably its extreme flexibility. You can set-up about any kind of signal processing algorithm with it. Like the Eventide units, looping is a small subset of it's functionality. Dennis Leas ------------------- dennis@mdbs.com
