You could try a VF-1 if you can find one. I got my last one new for GBP 189 last year. Bit like the old SE-70, it does delay, flange, chorus, phase, reverb, pitchshift, filter, amp simulation and guitar synth noises. You can assign four parameters per patch to four different (or the same) controller. It's a half rack unit so if you like it you can got back for seconds.
