EDP=INS=SUS

I'm experimenting with Insert=SUS ... while I press the Insert button in 
SUS
mode, the EDP's output is muted which kind of creates a hole in the musical
flow ... is there a way to do SUS inserts that don't mute? e.g. the new
input that is inserted could be routed to the output while pressing the
button so that there is no pause.
