Re: RE: RE: New loop tool, sort of..

Yes, the lateral line is fascinating. I don't think it relates totally to what we identify as hearing -- it is also used by fish to track prey, so it feels things to some extent, maybe like our skin experiences vibrations. But I am not speaking from much authority here. If a large mouth bass had the brain of a human to process what it was taking in, it would probably experience music pretty intensely.

fishes dont have ears but they have two hearing systems one is the line that runs down their body (linear line) it picks up frequecys (wonder what is sounds like) anyway does that mean everything is surround sound to them?

does stereo output only aplly to something after amplification? is that what were trying to establish? a sound only has one source granted the cabinet affects it acoustically. but it cant be stereo or surround sound it just is until its been picked up and fed back.

technically everything is stereo if you have left and right ears tho maybe?

its cool to be reminded : )

This bring sup an interesting point, which is that stereo is an entirely artificial construction. Not that I can use that statement to further the conversation but it's sort of interesting to be reminded of that sometimes.
