I'd say that it is obvious that net distribution of music data is the future. Music is basically immaterial. Who needs material data carriers that contain 1 hour of music when all music data can easily be downloaded, put into iPods, moved, deleted, copied? CD sales at concerts might be something that will stay for a while, but otherwise? Material carriers will stay for a while but they will eventually disappear. Fripp / King Crimson have started to sell their stuff online on their dgmlive.com website - only the live recordings, for the beginning, but this points to where everything will move to. -Michael www.michaelpeters.de
