I'm currently using an edirol m100 fx sound card cum mixer as my input/output. I'm getting 3.2ms with a buffer size of 144 running audiomulch with delay, reverb and filter vsts.as well as simple mixers and a loop player for drum loops etc. My basic sound comes from either the zoom g2.1u, (still havent taken it back to college) or the 8080 functions which i can just about run alongside the midi capabilities of same - It's a bit complex and more than a little idiosyncratic....
I'm dithering between fcb1010 and my old sub aqua zoom 8080. The 8080 is smaller and i like the cc pedals on either side of the unit  - i see my loops as right and left loops this way.

cool thanks for the info. but what most folks with low latency are running seem to be pretty lean programs.. no ableton or logic and no one is using firewire. kind of what i suspected. thanks for the information that helps.
