Re: OT: Small/Light Acoustic Guitar Amps

Kris,

I've mentioned my setup before to the list and I'd hate to sound like
a Carvin shill, but as you're focusing on PAs now, you might be
interested in another option.

A couple years back I picked up a Carvin DCM150 (1U rack 150W stereo
power amp) and a pair of their 805 Club Speakers. The whole shebang
cost me in the neighborhood of $500. I've now got beautifully
transparent amplification in true stereo. The speakers are fairly
light as they're 10 inchers (plus tweeters). If you didn't want
stereo, the amp can run bridged mono to a single speaker.
