It's much different. The Repeater also had the option of running multiple loops on each of its four mono tracks. Looperlative, on the other hand can, only load one stereo loop per track, but they can be of different lengths and even out of sync. Each track/loop of the LP1 seems to act as a looper of its own that may sync or not to the other seven. One LP1 function I have been reading about and regard useful is being able to cue up a loop to play next. In praxis it is close to the EDP's way of lining up many loops. Who cars where the loop was stored as long as it starts playing next after you have kicked the "Next Loop" button? I have not been able to find out by the manual how this feature works in detail.
