RE: What's the best vocal looper to buy

hi there,

i have watched this clip closley and heres what i see is going on

it looks at though he is using a behringer fcb1010 to me, this is a midi controller that is used to control midi equipment , these include both rack mounted gear and software so its hard to tell which....however a lot can be gleaned form how he builds up the song....

element one....this is the drum/rhythem elements....these are laied down first and then put in a safe place to come back to (THIS TELLS US THE LOOPER IS CAPABLE OF MULTIPLE TRACKS)

element two...the Do Doo but...this is added to join in with the original drum loop and sits either beside or on top of it, never alone...it is one version of Do Doo that is then pitch shifted up at will by sending a commant via midi to the looper...the drum track doesnt appear to be affected and the track doesnt speed up...again this give me a strong clue as to what the looper is(I AM THINKING THE ONLY HARDWARE AVAILABLE TO DO THIS IS THE REPEATER AND POSSIBLY THE LOOPERLATIVE WHICH I HAVENT USED, THE REPEATER WOULD TAKE TIME TO MOVE THIS TRACK UP SO I FEEL I CAN RULE THIS OUT, THE OTHER OPTION IS THAT THE MIDI PEDAL IS CONTROLLING A SOFTWARE LOOPER BUT I COULDNT COMMENT ON WHICH AS THAT IS NOT MY AREA OF EXPERTIESE) ps not shouting, just trying to seperate conjecture.

element three Delay fx.......at verious points the artist uses the second behringer continous controller to add delay to his vocals, this is done pre-loop as the loop is not effected...(THIS WOULD SURGEST HE IS CONTROLING MORE THEN ONE UNIT FROM HIS MIDI PEDAL, AGAIN THIS WOULD SURGEST TO ME A LAPTOP OR SIMILAR MAY WELL BE BEING USED HOWEVER IT COULD ALSO BE A SECOND HARDWARE RACKMOUNTED DELAY...IM JUST GUESSING WHAT I WOULD DO TO GET THIS).
In answer to your question about loop time believe it or not this lop by my aproximation is actually created in less then three seconds of loop space, you just hear it over and again.

anyway, i dont know if this helps at all but that was my 2p worth.
