I'd always second that for any other interface. All I heard was that there 
are basically three reliable firewire interfaces:
- RME
- Motu
- Echo
I've heard i.e. some people praising the Motu Traveler.
If it is really worth it, I'd eventually get the RME FF400, but since I 
want to perform with the laptop _closed_ , it would be good to have more 
options for mixing directly on the interface - lilke the Motu Ultralite.
