Re: pitch shifting and harmonizing again (emergency)

But can you randomly change pitch, control the speed and range of randomness (or make that random), pitch change down to the decimal point (semi tones and smaller or linear change), and do this with multiple pitch changes simultaneously? :)    Ever heard of Fly Paper? :)

Flyloops can do pitch shifting too ..... there are little +1 SEMITONE, -! SEMITONE buttons on the "tweek speed" panel.  You click that button a few times til you get it up to where you want to shift (4 semitones, say, for a major third) and then click the loop track you want to shift by that amount.

You can also click the "tonal shifting" checkbox and then turn a midi control knob to shift the pitch only by semitones.

I should note that this is a frequency shifter, not a pitch shiftier though ... so it speeds up playback.  If the loops are set to sync (default), they will repeat early to stay in time with the master.

See the screenshot and interactive demo at: http://www.flyloops.com/demo/
If you have a PC, download here:  http://www.flyloops.com/download.htm

wait about a week and there should be a video on semitonal frequency shifting on the webpage too ....  I'm a bit overdue for that one.

Todd - I know you talked to Jeff (we just talked as well), but I'll send you a few of my pitch patches, including one that stacks 6 pitch shifters, and a few patches that sound very Evantidish.

Hey all,

I'm throwing this out there for our max mavens...

My Eventide will not arrive in time for a piece I need it for... TOMORROW...

damn.

so here is my predicament... Last time I tried to use gizmo~ to make a pitch shifter which sounded good, I was entirely unsuccessful.

is there any one of you out there who has a max patch which will harmonize with two additional pitches above or below the root pitch which sounds great which you'd be willing to send me?  I have to play single notes and have it track well enough to sound like a chord in real time.

thanks in advance for any support you might give.

and best to all.

Todd
