Re: OT: Dumble amps
I recall reading that when Robben Ford toured Europe and didn't want to bring his Dumble, he'd use a Tube Screamer into a BF Twin Reverb.  A few years ago, someone took apart a Dumble, melted the goop on the "secret component", and described the circuit as...a Tube Screamer inside a Twin Reverb.  So, consider saving $49K and going that route.
While all the usual famous Dumble users always sound great, they sound great through anything they've used, and I've never heard a Dumble recording and thought ZOMG!!! That's THE Tone!!!  And I've heard a few live, and at close quarters, and so if you have $50k, go for it!  Otherwise...

As you may know, Alexander (don’t call me Howard)
Dumble is a legendary custom builder of guitar amps that now because of there
rarity and celebrity connections (Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, and more recently,
Carlos Santana to name a few)  fetch ridiculous amounts of money.
