Why don't you try a tremolo effect set to 8th note speed! Always keep that special plug-in on one of the tracks, so you know that any noise you initially create on that tracks loop will give you the tempo. Also look into the Mobius setting Maximum/Minimum tempo to avoid creating extremely slow or fast tempi by accident. These hints should work fine both when using Mobius as the sync slave or as the sync master.
