Re: Digitech JamMan, Mark-god-knows-what

The stereo Jamman is due out any day. its past due for ship date I
believe. From the little bit of time I spent with the Solo Jamman . I
don't think the time stretch capability will be of a real time- on the
fly -in performance nature. More for after you have recorded and
saved a loop and want to alter the tempo. Certainly not like a
Repeater. i must admit I haven't spent that much time with it but my
first impressions were that that was not a feature that was easily
accessible. I'll play with it a bit more, i was mildly annoyed that it
had a bunch of useless factory preset loops with drum tracks embedded
in the loops, that required having to first erase and clear the loops
before trying to create a fresh one. One would think that they would
want to make the first impression of this cool new box, how easy it is
to press play, record something and start overdubbing, but nooooooo,
they want to show you the limited drum machine on every track :0)....
I'm just bitching, it really is a nice looper for people who like to
use pre-recorded material and for those who like to live loop long
progressions and soundscapes, as well as beginners or singer
songwriters.
