Ok good segueway, as I've been wanting to ask this question. ;)

My brother is giving me a handmedown laptop, a couple of year old Mac 
Powerbook. I am not sure the model but he would only have the top of line 
(rich doctor!!)

So I figure I would send it to my buddy who manages a Apple store,  wipe 
it clean, start fresh, then set it up ONLY for looping.  

So what should I get to go with that? Or us Apple not the way?

Man this is the dark dark side for this lp1 user!!!!!
