I would challenge you to provide a universal definition of a TRUE ARTIST. That term could vary wildly based on culture, economic status, era, perspective, or many other factors.
And the others have a point...
What do you gain by coming out with both fists swinging? If being an a-hole is artistic, then you have our attention. Now what else you got?
By the way, I would highly recommend ANY artist, of any ilk, to see 'Exit Through The Gift Shop'. It provokes a lot of thought on who is an artist, and what constitutes art.
