Phil,

If you want great single coil sound without the noise, try some Kinmanpickups. No need to go back to humbuckers if you really want thatsingle coil sound.

I know a lot of guys who have Kinmans, and they all love them. I havea whole bunch of other single coil pickups I could recommend, but theywouldn't solve the noise problem. The Kinmans will.
