Paul, If you're comfortable opening the MINI, the only real differences are the two drives—which you could easily add to the Standard config—and the Quad Core I7. In fact, you can set up the Standard config with a FASTER I7 Dual Core processor. The real question is whether you will see a performance increase with the slower Quad Core versus the faster Dual Core. At any rate the MINI is turning out to be a good little machine for this kind of use.
