Re: Roland PK-5, Ketron 9PEMK8, or else?

I say stick the piezos into stuffed animals and pound them to trigger your sounds. Impossible to miss.
Use different animal shapes and colors to help keep track of different pitches and sounds.
Imagine the joy of beating the sh*t out of a Barney plush toy!

Radio shack sells a peizo device, #273-064 I believe. After prying it out of the case and soldering a guitar cable to it, it makes and excellent contact mic, or trigger for drum inputs.

One way could be to pick up a Behringer FCB1010, set it to hold MIDI
notes and connect a bass synth with a MIDI cable. One bank holds ten
notes, which should work fine for a key. Then you may kick the bank
switch for playing in a different key.
