Okay …

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion about a week ago and hadn't had a
chance to run Reaper (I don't own Logic and I have the lite version of
Ableton which I rarely use).

At first, Reaper wouldn't load and I had the good sense to check for
an update. Sure enough, there WAS an update dated this past August.

Downloaded, installed, fired both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions with 
impunity.

Mark, double check that you have the latest version of Reaper.

Can't help you with the others, though …
