I had a QVGT a long time ago... Possible successors (assuming you want some of the "guitar effects" from the GT): * Slightly less old, Roland GP-100 * Non-rack: Line6 M13 or M9 * Non-rack: Probably a range of things from Roland/Boss * More rack spaces: For several years, I was using a Tech21 PSA-1 and a Lexicon Vortex. You might want to add a reverb to that but there are a range of options in that regard. (I would probably sell my PSA-1 since I've moved away from racks. I'm less ready to sell my Vortex.) * Lacking the guitar centricity but with lots of effects configuration options: Korg AM8000R (I've got two and would be willing to sell one) Mark P.S. For obscure things in the same direction as the QVGT, there was a Yamaha box that combined an SPX90 with a distortion section for guitarists. I owned it but can't remember what it was called.
