Re: Help with finding a looper?

So on the 300 I could use the effects loop on a track to hum bass lines?  The 300 seems like a very viable option.  Thanks!

The 505 has some cool options, but is pretty limited if you want to go 100% foot. I wouldn't do it. Maybe Boss will do a floor version eventually.

The RC300 lets you store loops like you want. The Boomerang III does not. 90% sure that the JamMan does that as well (I have a smaller/previous version of it and it lets you do this).

The RC50 might be a more budget-friendly alternative if that's an issue. I can explain the differences in detail if you so desire. I prefer the 300 myself. It's better in MOST ways but not all. For your purposes I'd go 300 over 50.

You can't store loops, though, right?

Thanks for the responses guys.  I did pick up a TC Ditto on Cyber Monday on sale.  I know this is an inferior tool for what I want to do, but I can at least get some practice in while I decide how to proceed.  The Boss RC 505 looks interesting, but more table oriented than foot.  While you get a ton of control on devices like that (or with even Loopy HD), it almost becomes too much to play with to get into a song.

Basically, I want to do some more complex arrangements via some stored loops so it doesn't take a minute to get into a full song.

I can do all that with my boomerang III with the sidecar controller. I understand that you can now sync two boomerang 3's together, you might want to contact them and ask some questions about it.

I tried some solo looping stuff like this:

I then got away from it for nearly two years.  I used to have a Boomerang III, but I no longer do.  I am interested in starting up again and am looking for a FLOOR based looper with the following in mind:

1.  The ability to record and pull up presets that I can than record on top of.  This would help with live performing and start up times.

2.  The ability, like the BIII, to serial sync at least two loops.  The best part of the BIII was having four separate loops synced together.  I could start and stop every "instrument" to create dynamics.

3.  Something I can use with just my feet.  I don't want to bend down to load and unload presets.

4.  Something with all start/stop.

It sounds like *maybe* the DT JamMan Stereo would work, but you can't call up a preset and add to it, or am I misunderstanding?  Can I load a preset and then record a second channel of loops synced to it?

For my format, what I want to do is call up a preset of beatbox and bass singing and then control another loop of vocals and harmonica that I can than manipulate.

Thanks!!!
