Hi Robert, I dont think I've heard of that program but from your description it sounds pretty amazing. But after reading up on the Reaper forums, it seems that what im trying to do might not be possible yet with Reaper. I succesfully routed the loopback system, but reaper responds to midi clock very inaccurately and is unstable. According to the forum, this behavior is no news. It doesnt even adjust its tempo.
Have your tried Copperlan? It has occasional problems with older USB driven devices (especially Korg Nano-things), but what's quite nice about it is that using a linked virtual midi port, even if the original device goes out or is disconnected and then reconnected, Copperlan reconnects immediately while keeping the virtual connection secure in the target program (I use it with both Reaper and Mobius, using a single FCB1010 to control both, as well as a Behringer CMD MM1 mapping various controls to each program)... Copperlan works fine with Bomes as well...
I've used LoopBe30, but it gave me some problems, so I've uninstalled it and now I use only Copperlan for my virtual ports... also with it a single midi device can be "forked" and directed to two different discreet virtual midi ports, so each program can have "exclusive" access to a single midi device using its own exclusive virtual port without problems... also Copperlan is free... (http://copperlan.org/)... I'd be interested to know if anyone else is using it and what advantages/problems they've found with it...

I've tried doing this by using loopbe virtual ports and midi ox but it doesn't seem like Reaper sees the virtual ports.--On Sun, Jul 6, 2014 at 12:07 AM, Per Boysen <perboysen@gmail.com> wrote:
Check if Reaper can be set to follow MIIDI clock and set an appropriate port for that incoming. Then set Mobius (globally) to "sync=out" and chose the same port as you did set Reaper to listen through as Mobiuus "plugin Out" under the MIDI Devices category. You may also want to adjust Monius "max/mini tempo" parameter

So my question is, is there ANY way possible to sync Reaper to Mobius? I want to recreate Ableton's looper where I can record the first loop in Mobius and have that loop automativally set the tempo for reaper. Please let me know if any of you know how!
