As a bassist, I came to looping as a way of furthering my development as a complete musician. I feel (much like Michael Manring) driven to show the possibilities of the bass guitar as a complete compositional and perfomance instrument, and in doing so break down the pre-conceptions of the bass role in music. I see looping as not just an extension on that, but as a new instrument; one that needs an outside sound source (in my case bass), and an instrument which offers nearly unlimited possibilities for creative expression. I also invite all other creative musicians (esp.loopers) to contact me with with advice and ideas. I love the collaborative process, and truely respect the world wide community of loopers who (thru Looper's Delight) freely exchange ideas, concepts and inspiration.
