Books/Stockhausen/tapelooper

Stockhausen:Conversations with the composer
Johnathan Cott
ISBN 0 330 24165 6

contains reference to looping and other tape based techniques.

As I remember it KS had a method for 'Frippertronics' using only one tape
deck.
A tape loop was used, but the order of the tape heads was changed from the
usual
erase-record-playback to playback-erase-record. So basically he then had
a tape delay for the length of the loop, and by using feedback he had a
looper.
