This is very very interesting, sorry ive never doen
this how could i tell which functions i used on the
EDP if i was to record the midi comands with my Sonar
sequencer, for example?

play it back to the EDP watch the display
or
read the manual and write the "midi message / EDP function" relationship 
down
read the edit window in sonar (there probably is one where you can see the 
note/cc values in a grid)
