I have a Kaoss pad KP3 that I used in my drum machine setup for a while. I eventually removed it, and it sounds like your issues may be similar to mine. I found that the unit had a really high noise floor. At the same time, it clipped at much lower levels than the rest of my equipment. It was really hard to find a decent volume level where the sound wasn't knee deep in hiss. Is that what you're talking about?
