Michael, Speaking for myself (and perhaps a few others), some of us are just tired old farts who have been going to the festival every year since it's inception and have filled the Loopers' Delight archive every year with kudus, reviews and discussions of it to the point that perhaps we've a sense that people are tired of hearing from us about it. Or maybe we're just tired . . . I know I am . . . and would like to hear someone else talk about it. As always . . . Rick & Co. did a fabulous job putting it on, and an outstanding job of gathering talent from around the world . . . all of which at a general financial loss personally (not to mention dedication of time, loss of sleep and frequent peace of mind). Every performer in attendance had his or her moments of brilliance. A few had their struggles with tech "gremlins" and the "brilliant part" was in how they dealt with it. But **particular** standouts (for me) were Lilli Lewis, Jim Thomas, Bill Walker, (yourself) Michael Peters, DCO, Sjaak Overgaauw, Kevin Kalimbaman Spears and Andre Donawa, Daryl Shawn and Jim Goodin, bassista Ariane Cap, and the vocal duo of Laurel Murphy and Ryan Slemko. In addition, Daniel Thomas (& son) had his best set ever, as did Warren Sirota, Matt Davignon and our own Stanosaur (more felt than heard). Many first-timers at the fest also put in memorable sets, including Nat Grant, Electro Funkadelica, and Organamatonic. I was also absolutely knocked-out by Julia Entertainmentforthebraindead Kotowski from Cologne. It's too hard to write and post this stuff though, because as soon as you do, you think of someone else you missed and you're afraid of possible hurt feelings. I'll push the button and send this anyway and hope that anyone I missed forgives me . . . or can simply dismiss me as an old fart.
