Re: OT: New MBP... or not? (Firewire still necessary?)

Hey gang,
while we are at it, i just got an imac for my birthday and all i can say is man what a beautiful computer!
is the 21" with 500GB hardrive, but now there are a couple of things to consider, first i cannot ditch my PC right away since there is so much SW i still use everyday. Then again i want to have a serious stable computer to record.
So im thinking of installing bootcamp on my Imac to use both platforms.
my question is:
Is it wise to do this or will it slow down and have an effect in the performance of the computer?
if i was to do a partition on both, would a 80 GB partition be enough for the operating systems to take advantage of the rest of the drive for storage?
anybody here using both with parallels? any hardware conflicts?
could i sitll use the same apple wireless keyboard and mouse for both?
would you pay the 300.-eur difference and  get the step up that has the ATI Radeon HD 4670 and  I TB hardrive or just get an x-ternal drive?
thanx for all your tips
Luis

Yes. More here:
http://www.apple.com/mac/whichmacbook/compare.html

But that site says "4 GB memory" for all MBPs and a Swedish vendor
this morning published 8 GB as the upper limit for RAM expansion. So
either I posted the wrong information to the list based on this
Swedish vendor or Apple doesn't publish the full RAM expansion option.
Better ask a sales man about it. There is good third-party
manufactured RAM blocks to pick up in stead of the horrendously
expensive RAM expansion Apple offers..
