I think if it been Bill Gates the story would have been very different. 
Microsoft really aren't known as innovators. I think he would be 
remembered for similar reasons as for how he started out and grew the 
company, but I think there would be a lot of emphasis on his philanthropy. 
It would still be a huge story, but (IMHO) they are important for 
different reasons.
