Hi Sergio,
You can buy the Boomerang III in a couple of places in Europe. I bought mine from Austria I think. BTW the boomerang has a maximum of 4 loops in a number of modes - Serial, where one follows another and can be recorded/triggered one at a time Synched - where all the loops are multiples/divisors of each other Free - loops are totally independent and can phase freely. There are lots of permutations with looping devices. Why not make a complete list of your requirements ? Someone will know what you need. I spent ages before deciding to go for the boomerang III. It's part of the process. Stereo loops was a must for me and I'm not particularly into multiply etc. For some people it is fundamental to their performance style.. The good news is that there is a lot of choice :-) Gareth Whittock, sound artist: garethwhittock.co.uk From: simpliflying@gmail.com To: loopers-delight@loopers-delight.com Subject: RE: "Mainly Vocal" looping performances: help in deciding which tools Date: Tue, 8 May 2012 16:13:23 +0000
Oh, I forgot, I can still decide to import from USA a Boomerang II. Feedbacks? Loops of same lenght as 2880 or not? Other things? So, if I understood well (with the mind, without practical experience with loopers): with the Boss, I can record a long loop, and then a short three notes bass line which would repeat itself more times while the long loop will repeat just once, correct? WHile if in the 2880 I record a 30 second pattern and then I want a three note bass playing all the time, I have to repeat it till it fill the 30??? Damn this is quite complicated then. If it is like that and there is no undo, i only have two possibilities: rc-300 and smile, or looperlative and cry (so damn expensive!!!). Mumble. :) Date: Tue, 8 May 2012 11:49:29 -0400 Subject: Re: "Mainly Vocal" looping performances: help in deciding which tools From: jeffloops@gmail.com To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com I use the 2880 but not the RC 300. The 2880 can record four separate parts (2 in stereo) but there is no independence. They will all be the same length/tempo and synced. It is more like a multi track recorder I guess. From what I understand the RC 50/300 can do three independent loops of varying lengths and can be synced or not ( I think I am right on this).
